Our Company:
Having been operating for 15 years in the Italian travel industry we have seen that travelers may like to visit “rustic charm” but staying in it is another thing! Whilst some hotels offer stylish accommodation the self catering market has lagged behind in both style and services. We aim to change this with our contemporary styling and our tailor made services.
Compact but perfectly formed:
We offer one and two bedroom properties dedicated to the traveler where most of the self catering rental accommodation in Italy consists of large private holiday homes; occasionally rented out. We have also seen a change in the traveling market where those city travelers who have all their modern comforts want to go on holiday and have the same or with more style – we’re aiming to deliver to this market. So each cottage is unique to it’s region whilst styled and fitted with all modern comforts.
Our services:
At Italia by Design we aim to see the client though from the start of their stay to it’s end. The idea of staying in self catering accommodation in a rustic charming village is appealing but the reality of being deposited with no support is not the recipe for a good holiday. Each client is personally seen into the property and how it works. We have provided each cottage with its own operation manual as well as our top tips on the local area for restaurants and shopping etc. Also during the stay the team are at the end of the phone to create that perfect holiday home away from home.

Philip
An architectural designer, working in Italy for the last 15 years designing houses, hotels and other social activities. Originally from London, working as a set designer in the film industry, he has developed a broad design experience: “Having designed homes in Italy, stayed in holiday accommodation and spoken to other travelers I know that there is a growing market for stylish contemporary accommodation that is unfulfilled, we aim to change this.”
